Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 5+ years of experience with technical accounting and financial reporting.
• CPA preferred.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP general ledger systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical accounting research and documents conclusions.
• Assists in preparation of internal and external financial reporting per GAAP.
• Coordinates with external auditors and prepares documentation for audits.
• Develops and implements internal controls to meet SOX 404 requirements.
• Keeps up to date with new accounting standards and assesses impact on financial statements.
• Consults with business management on accounting matters.
• Plays a key role in the monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Participates in valuations for business combinations and accounting.
• Contributes to special projects addressing financial and operational issues.
• Participates in annual goodwill impairment assessment.
• Works with tax and finance teams and external consultants.
• Performs ad hoc analyses as needed.
