Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting to support the External Reporting team at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on applying US GAAP, interpreting guidance, and coordinating with internal teams and external firms to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, CPA credentials, and 5+ years of relevant experience, with a bonus program and no remote/hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA credential is required or preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or financial analysis.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation and research of accounting matters related to US GAAP and guidance.
• Lead consultations with external accounting firms on technical accounting matters.
• Prepare accounting memos and documentation for external and internal audits.
• Communicate technical accounting conclusions to internal stakeholders.
• Support annual and quarterly external financial communications and government reporting.
