Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager for a fully remote role in the U.S. This senior position supports executive leadership, strategic transactions, external auditors, and cross-functional finance teams on complex GAAP matters and policy development.

The ideal candidate has CPA credentials, 7-10+ years in technical accounting or related fields, and Big 4 or large public accounting background.

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred.
• 7-10+ years accounting experience.
• Big 4 or large public accounting foundation strongly preferred.
• Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory, Financial Reporting, or Transaction Advisory experience.
• Strong experience with technical accounting research and memo preparation.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions and purchase accounting.
• Ability to present complex accounting conclusions to senior executives and auditors.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, analysis, and documentation of complex U.S. GAAP matters
• Prepare and defend technical accounting memorandums and position papers
• Partner with executive leadership and external auditors on key accounting conclusions
• Serve as the accounting lead for acquisitions, business combinations, and strategic transactions
• Own accounting policy development and implementation
• Support technical areas including: ASC 718 | ASC 805 | ASC 606 | ASC 842
• Partner with Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting teams
• Drive process improvements and scalable accounting solutions
