Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an eager intern for hands-on experience in technical accounting and related finance functions within the Corporate Finance & Accounting Team. You will support accounting research, financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls, audit activities, and contract accounting implications under GAAP.

The role emphasizes mentorship, growth opportunities, and exposure to high-growth semiconductor finance operations. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a sophomore at time of application and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field during the internship.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• English (Written & Verbal) proficiency; ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations as part of the month-end close.
• Assist in preparing the company’s financial statements.
• Analyze potential accounting transactions and perform research as needed.
• Review accounting processes and assist with internal control documentation.
• Assist in audits and build relationships with other departments.
