Job summary

GlobalFoundries is offering an internship within the Corporate Finance & Accounting Team to gain hands-on experience in technical accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting. You will support month-end close, financial statements, audits, and contract accounting implications while strengthening internal controls.

Applicants should be at least a sophomore, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be able to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship.

Qualifications

• Sophomore standing and pursuing a degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• Available to work 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month-end close.
• Assist in the preparation of the company’s financial statements.
• Analyze potential accounting transactions and perform research as needed.
• Review accounting processes and assist with internal control documentation.
• Assist in audits and collaborate with other departments.
