Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its Technical Accounting and External Reporting team.

This role will manage accounting for lease accounting, stock-based compensation, business combinations and goodwill, support new accounting standards, and contribute to SEC filings and external reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders, external advisors and the broader accounting and finance organization, researching and documenting conclusions and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience with technical accounting and external reporting.
• Strong critical thinking, detail orientation and multitasking ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting for technical areas including lease accounting, stock-based compensation and business combinations.
• Lead annual goodwill valuation with external valuation specialists.
• Support external reporting including Forms 10-Q/10-K and related filings.
• Participate in budget and monthly forecast processes for corporate departments and SSC operations.
• Research and document conclusions on technical accounting matters and assist with new standards adoption.
