Job summary

Search Finance, Inc. in Dallas is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of Technical Accounting to lead research, policy development, and accounting policy across the organization. The role interfaces with multiple business units and requires strong IFRS experience alongside U.S.

GAAP expertise. The position offers high visibility, collaboration with internal and external auditors, and opportunities to influence accounting policy in a global organization based in Uptown Dallas with partial remote

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience
• CPA required
• Public accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting and research background
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• IFRS technical accounting experience
• Experience with complex accounting areas such as: Consolidations, Business combinations and goodwill, CECL, Transfers, Derivatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document and convey technical accounting conclusions

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex transactions and new accounting guidance
• Maintain and develop accounting policies and ensure consistent application across the organization
• Provide technical guidance related to acquisitions, divestitures and other transactions
• Research and document conclusions under U.S. GAAP and IFRS
• Partner with accounting teams across multiple business units on technical accounting matters
• Review technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation
• Work closely with internal and external auditors
• Support other accounting and reporting initiatives as needed
