The role emphasizes detailed research, policy development, and aiding audits while mentoring junior staff and contributing to finance transformation initiatives. A strong accounting background and CPA-eligible credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience researching and applying accounting guidance to complex transactions.
• Ability to prepare technical memos and accounting position papers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounting guidance for new transactions and contracts.
• Prepare accounting position papers documenting conclusions and rationale.
• Interpret GAAP, SAP, NAIC guidance for regulatory compliance.
• Support month-/quarter-/year-end close processes with internal controls.
• Evaluate implications of revenue recognition, leases, investments, and reserves.
• Develop and update accounting policies and control documentation.
• Assist audits, regulatory reviews, and inquiries with schedules and analyses.
• Mentor junior staff and promote professional growth.
