You will partner with internal teams, prepare position papers, and support audits while driving policy development and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field required.
• Master's degree in Accounting OR CPA designation (active or inactive) OR minimum 5 years' experience leading technical accounting research, accounting policy development, and technical analyses required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in public accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, or regulatory accounting required.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounting guidance related to new transactions, contracts, and regulatory developments.
• Prepare accounting position papers and technical memoranda documenting conclusions.
• Interpret and apply GAAP, SAP, NAIC guidance, and regulatory accounting requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with internal controls and policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to provide accounting guidance and insights.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
