Qualifikationen

• Prepare consolidated and statutory financial statements under US GAAP, including multi-currency consolidation.
• Lead the group audit and statutory audits in multiple jurisdictions; manage timelines and issues.

• Support revenue recognition, leases, equity compensation, and acquisitions from a technical accounting view.

The role

My client is looking for a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to lead financial reporting and audit activity across a multi-entity group. Reporting to the Controller, you will work with the business to turn new offerings and revenue models into sound accounting treatments and scalable processes. The role suits a hands-on, adaptable accountant who is comfortable when there is little precedent and who consistently delivers audit-ready financials on time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated and statutory financial statements and disclosures under US GAAP, including multi-currency consolidation.
• Lead the group audit and several statutory audits in multiple jurisdictions, managing timelines and open items.
• Research and document technical accounting positions for complex or unusual transactions, and present them to auditors.
• Partner with commercial, legal, and finance teams to define accounting and reporting treatment for new products and revenue streams.
• Support technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, leases, equity compensation, and acquisitions.
• Work with the operational accounting team to ensure the close produces accurate, reconciled results.
• Improve reporting processes through automation and better tooling.
• Maintain accounting policies and support internal controls documentation.
• Assist with regulatory reporting where required.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting at Senior or Manager level and at least 2 years in industry.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition and other complex standards.
• Hands-on experience preparing consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
• Experience leading external audits, ideally in more than one jurisdiction.
• Technology or software industry experience. Financial services exposure is a plus.
• Comfort with ambiguity and independent judgment.
• Clear communication with non-finance colleagues.
• Strong Excel skills. Experience with modern finance systems is a plus.
