Position: Technical Account Manager, Coatings and Construction

IMCD US currently has an opening for a Technical Account Manager, Coatings and Construction. This role is remote, preferably in the Atlanta area.

Role Overview

The Technical Account Manager plays a vital role in IMCD’s growth strategy, focusing on increasing earnings for our strategic principals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow earnings according to sales goals
  • Maintain relationships with existing, core, and target customers to ensure satisfaction and sales growth
  • Identify targets for each strategic principal
  • Respond promptly to leads and prepare call reports
  • Engage in technical discussions with customers
  • Spend approximately 70% of time in front of technical and purchasing contacts
  • Make weekly sales calls and participate in technical training
  • Maintain and expand customer and market intelligence databases
  • Map decision-making processes and identify key decision makers
  • Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closure using IMCD’s sales process

Additional Details

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. It is a fully remote role involving frequent travel, primarily driving, up to 50%. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional hours as needed. The role may require overnight travel.
