Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks a junior to midlevel associate to join its Technology Transactions practice in Seattle. The position involves handling cutting-edge technology transactions at the intersection of IP, data strategies, and business considerations.

The role requires JD and 1–3 years of experience in technology transactions, licensing, IP, and outsourcing, with strong writing and negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in the firm’s relevant jurisdiction(s).
• 1–3 years of experience in technology transactions, licensing, intellectual property, and outsourcing.
• Strong understanding of issues related to development, implementation, and commercialization of advanced technologies (AI, cloud, software).
• Exceptional writing, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate strategic transactions involving advanced technologies.
• Structure, draft and negotiate vendor, supplier and outsourcing agreements.
• Counsel clients on IP and regulatory landscape related to technology matters.
• Draft and negotiate software licensing, technology development, commercialization, IP rights, and content management agreements.
