Job summary

Life Care Services offers a Business Applications Training Internship in Des Moines, IA, a 12-week full-time program running May through August. Interns gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects and a final presentation to senior leadership.

You will work on content development, training delivery, LMS administration, needs assessment, QA, project support, research, and measurement, with mentorship and exposure to senior leaders. Salary is a competitive $22.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters program in Education, Instructional Design, Technical Writing.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week program.
• Familiarity with e-learning tools and LMS platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical training materials (presentations, manuals, online courses).
• Develop rollout plan with IT and business users; facilitate training sessions (in-person and virtual) and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist in LMS administration: upload materials, track participation, generate reports.
• Identify training needs via data, feedback, and SME consultations; build business cases with milestones.
• Review training content for accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness; ensure standards are met.
• Assist planning and execution of training projects, including scheduling and coordination with teams and vendors.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in technical training and e-learning; contribute improvement ideas.
• Work with manager on weekly milestone updates and evaluate project outcomes against business case.
