Job summary

Plaid Inc. is seeking a Technical Sourcer to build pipelines for its core Engineering and Data Science teams. You will own the top of the funnel, conduct market research, and craft personalized outreach that yields qualified candidates.

You will manage multiple high-skill searches with precision, maintain clean data, and collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to shape roles and hiring plans. Equity and strong benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical sourcing experience at a high-growth tech company.
• Strong sourcing research technique and tooling: boolean and x-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, publications and conference sources, CRM/ATS workflows.
• Demonstrated success in high-volume, high-urgency environments, carrying multiple technical searches at once.
• Genuine fluency in technical skill sets; can read a job spec and assess relevance from GitHub or research papers.
• Strong written and verbal communication; outreach is concise and human, senior engineers respond.
• Data discipline; uses funnel metrics to justify effort and explain pipeline performance.
• Meticulous data hygiene; owns pipeline data and downstream planning.
• Candidate-first approach built on empathy, transparency, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel strategy and execution for technical roles across Software Engineering or Data Science.
• Run talent research: market maps, org mapping, and advanced boolean/x-ray search.
• Write outreach that gets responded to with personalized messaging.
• Operate at volume with disciplined follow-up cadences and clean ATS data.
• Turn research into intelligence to shape role scope and search strategy.
• Build diverse pipelines through inclusive outreach, not as a screening step.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate and improve role feasibility.
• Track and report funnel metrics to optimize spend and outcomes.
• Represent Plaid authentically as the first impression to candidates.
