Job summary

Clover Staffing is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for a Summit, New Jersey operating room assignment. You will assist with patient care, manage instruments and equipment, and support the surgeon by anticipating needs during procedures.

The role requires standing for long periods, the ability to push/pull/lift up to 35 lbs, and a credentialed surgical technician from an accredited program. 13-week contract with weekly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technician required.
• Graduate from an accredited program.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs.
• Tolerance for long periods of sitting, standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of the surgical patient.
• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment during procedures.

• Maintain sterile field and follow hospital policies in the OR.
• Adhere to Standard Precautions and regulatory requirements.

Duties: Job Functions: Assist in the care of the surgical patient. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Follows instructions of Physicians and RN closely, adhering to established hospital policies related to the Operating Room. Maintains a Safe Environment: Practices Standard Precautions at all times. Maintains a safe environment in accordance with hospital polices and regulatory agencies.
Skills: Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs. Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing and /or walking. Certified Surgical Technician required.
Education: High School Graduate or GED. Graduate from an accredited program.
