Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgical Technologist (CST) to assist surgeons in the sterile field and support surgical teams.

The role requires CST or NCC certification, BLS within 14 days, and 15 hours of annual continuing education. Preferred candidates have completed a Surgical Technologist program and are ready to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient.
• Ensures adherence to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.

• Minimum of one (1) year as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
