Job summary

The Consortium of Jewish Day Schools is seeking an IT Support Specialist & Digital Citizenship Educator to maintain our tech infrastructure and deliver a robust digital citizenship curriculum for Elementary and Middle School students.

In this dual-role, you will support hardware, software, networks, and classroom technology while designing age-appropriate lessons on online safety, ethics, and responsible use of technology. This role reports to the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• 2+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a K-12 environment.
• Demonstrated instructional experience leading groups of children, including STEM and/or PBL.
• Certifications such as Google Certified Educator, CompTIA A+, or Apple Certified Support Professional are preferred.

Responsibilities

• IT Technical Support: troubleshoot and repair devices, manage classroom AV equipment.
• Systems Management: administer Google Workspace/Microsoft 365 environment and PowerSchool, including user accounts and security.
• Network & Infrastructure: monitor Wi-Fi, printers, and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Help Desk: respond to staff tickets regarding software issues and classroom integration.
• Inventory & Procurement: maintain hardware inventory and assist in purchasing new equipment.
• Security & Filtering: monitor web-filtering to ensure online safety and CIPA compliance.
• Instructional: design and implement grade-level Digital Citizenship curriculum (ISTE/Commonsense).
• Staff Development: lead workshops to help teachers integrate technology into instruction.
• Parent Education: host sessions on home tech safety and screen-time management.
