TRU LAND Equipment is a John Deere dealer with 18 locations in Indiana and Ohio that sponsors students in the John Deere Tech program at Owens Community College in Toledo, OH area, Lake Land College in Mattoon IN, and Vincennes University in Vincennes, IN.

This program provides two years of instructor-led training and requires working onsite at the dealership, culminating in certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Participation in a John Deere Tech program
• On-the-job training with service technicians
• Certification in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR

Responsibilities

• Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training at a John Deere Tech School
• Complete minimum hours onsite at the dealership
• Obtain certification in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR training
• Complete John Deere University credits as required
• Assist senior technicians as needed
• Learn and perform basic service tasks as assigned
• Develop understanding of labor efficiencies and service department operations
• Maintain documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders
