Job summary

City of New York is seeking a Certified IT Administrator (Database) to lead planning, design, and delivery of enterprise technology solutions for Bridges capital program and operations.

You will oversee architecture, data warehousing, BI, and governance while guiding cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and data-driven systems aligned with the technology plan.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and two years of satisfactory full-time experience in database administration.
• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time IT experience with at least two years in database administration.
• Satisfactory equivalent of education and/or experience to the above; graduate degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex technology initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, risk management strategies, and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business users, developers, vendors, and consultants.
• Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and communicate status to executive leadership.
• Ensure projects adhere to SDLC governance and methodologies.
• Design scalable enterprise solutions supporting capital projects and operations.
• Develop system architecture, integration strategies, and technical roadmaps.
• Promote security, performance, maintainability, and scalability.
