Job summary

Dresner Partners is seeking an experienced Managing Director specializing in Technology and Software to originate and lead M&A advisory and capital raising transactions for software and technology companies across the middle market. The role requires deep relationships in the technology ecosystem and a proven track record of closing transactions.

The Managing Director will be supported by an experienced team, with leadership responsibilities across deal execution and business development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of investment banking experience, preferably boutique or middle-market.
• Proven ability to originate and close M&A advisory and capital raising transactions in technology/software.
• Deep knowledge of the software and technology industry, including SaaS models and valuation dynamics.
• Established relationships with private equity firms, strategic buyers, VC firms, and technology executives.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, transaction structures, financing alternatives, and valuation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal teams on a range of M&A advisory and capital raising transactions in technology and software, from pitch to closing.
• Serve as the primary client contact, managing day-to-day relationships and transaction execution.
• Provide leadership and oversight for all phases of transactions, including financial analysis, outreach, negotiations, and closing.
• Communicate financial and strategic issues clearly to executives and stakeholders throughout the process.
• Ensure high-quality client deliverables and maintain firm standards for execution.
• Mentor and develop junior banking staff.
