Job summary

Crowell & Moring seeks a mid-level Intellectual Property associate to bolster its IP practice in Los Angeles and other major offices. The role focuses on patent litigation and requires 2–5 years of federal court experience, with strong drafting, discovery management, and legal research skills.

Ideal candidates hold a CS/CE/EE degree, have hands-on coding experience, and can collaborate with clients across industries. Bar admission or waiver eligibility is required for the applicable office.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of patent litigation experience in federal courts.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in CS/CE/EE or related technical field.
• Hands-on coding experience in modern programming languages is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions and briefs; manage written discovery.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions and other phases of litigation.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex technologies.
• Collaborate with clients across a broad range of industries.
