Job summary
Zapier, a fully remote company, seeks a hands-on Counsel to support a broad range of commercial and compliance matters in the United States. You will draft and negotiate tech agreements, advise on privacy, employment law, and data protection, and lead the integration of automation and AI into legal operations.
The role reports to the General Counsel and partners with procurement, sales, and HR teams. Ideal candidates have 4–8 years of legal experience in SaaS/tech, JD from an accredited school,
Qualifications
- Excellent drafting and negotiation of commercial technology contracts.
- Experience with inbound/outbound SaaS, cloud, and services agreements.
- Strong regulatory analysis across multiple jurisdictions with business impact insight.
- Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for a global audience.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical legal advice on vendor, sales, privacy, and employment matters.
- Lead efforts to automate and AI-enable legal operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS, service, and contractor agreements.
- Respond to legal tickets from Sales, Procurement, and HR and coordinate with SMEs as needed.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Employment counsels to support deals and policies.
- Monitor global legal developments and propose compliant, business-friendly solutions.
