Job summary

GEO Louisiana Schools is seeking a licensed teacher to deliver blended instruction in Social Studies and Science, aligned to state standards, with a focus on data-driven progress and technology integration.

The role involves collaboration with Special Education staff, regular communication with parents, and participation in after-hours school events; this is a 10-month position under the Principal and Administrative Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in content area.
• Valid Louisiana Teaching License for Grades K-5 or 6-8.
• Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement.
• Demonstrated volunteer or community service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a blended learning environment with instruction in Social Studies and Science.
• Participate in TAP requirements and data-driven instruction.
• Create an inviting, innovative learning environment to develop critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Prepare students for strong academic achievement and required assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback with data and weekly assessments.
• Work with Special Education teachers to support students with special needs.
• Attend grade level and staff meetings and school events outside hours.
• Establish and enforce classroom behavior and procedures.
• Accept feedback from administrative staff and incorporate it.
• Perform duty coverage (morning, lunch, dismissal, after-school).
• Other duties as assigned by the principal.
