Job summary

Discord’s Internal Audit team seeks a Technology Risk Audit Manager to own IT SOX/ITGC, system controls, and consumer trust domains. You will shape AI-native audit frameworks from day one and guide control design through platform changes, reporting to the VP of Internal Audit.

You’ll learn Discord’s financial-reporting landscape, GRC structure, and how AI-powered testing solutions enable scalable risk management across hundreds of millions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years in IT audit, risk management, or controls.
• Deep ITGC fundamentals (access, change, operations, SDLC).
• SOX/ICFR knowledge and risk-based test design.
• Framework fluency (COSO, COBIT, NIST CSF).
• Experience coordinating external audits and remediation.
• Experience applying AI/automation to audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT SOX/ITGC strategy across financial-reporting systems.
• Extend risk and controls into consumer trust domains (privacy, security, trust & safety).
• Partner with Engineering for access controls and CI/CD integrity.
• Guide control design through system implementations and migrations.
• Manage teams and projects, including external contractors.
• Apply AI/automation tools to improve audit testing and monitoring.
• Coordinate remediation actions and report to senior leadership.
