Onward Search is seeking a PR Manager to lead product communications for a technology-focused client in a temporary, hybrid office-primary role in Santa Monica, CA. You will shape stories, align cross-functional teams, and drive clear, consistent messaging across launches and updates.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in product communications, strong media relationships, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in product communications or a closely related field.
• Established relationships with reporters across mainstream, technology, consumer, business, or hardware media.
• Demonstrated experience supporting consumer technology product or feature launches.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive product communications initiatives across key consumer product areas and feature updates.
• Develop and execute storytelling programs that reinforce product value, user connection, and safety priorities.
• Pitch and place stories across relevant media outlets to support announcements and sustained momentum.
• Write and maintain core communications materials such as newsroom posts, messaging documents, and talking points.
• Coordinate press briefings and demos, prepare spokespeople, and partner with internal teams and agencies on launches and campaigns.
