5WPR is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to join our Tech practice in a fast-paced agency environment. You will lead client programs, pitch ideas, and manage media relations to deliver measurable results.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of PR agency experience with tech clients, strong writing and leadership skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of PR agency experience, specifically with Tech-based clients.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Proven client relations and supervisory skills.
• Creative and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.
• Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent media for placements.
• Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines aligned with PR strategy.
• Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
• Create proactive pitch ideas for clients based on industry, trends, announcements.
• Monitor media and seek speaking opportunities for clients as experts in their field.
• Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
• Assist in research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for strategic/creative thinking.
