Job summary

5WPR is seeking an Account Executive to join our Tech practice in a hybrid Miami, FL environment. You will manage account work, develop media materials, and build media relationships while driving strategic PR plans and client results.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of tech PR agency experience, excellent writing and communication skills, and a creative, energetic drive to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• BA in Public Relations or related field.
• 2-3 years of PR agency experience with Tech-based clients.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Proven client relations and supervisory skills.
• Creative and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.
• Create and develop media materials - press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media to ensure placements.
• Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall PR strategy.
• Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
• Create and develop proactive pitch ideas for clients based on industry and trends.
• Monitor media and seek speaking opportunities for clients as experts in their field.
• Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
• Assist in research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.
