Job summary

Beyond Studios is seeking a meticulous Tech Pack Designer to translate creative concepts into production-ready technical files for apparel, accessories, and merchandise. You will develop flats, construction details, measurements, callouts, and material specs for factories worldwide.

You will collaborate with designers, vendors, and production teams to resolve technical questions and ensure accuracy across multiple projects, while maintaining standardized templates and quality controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience creating tech packs or technical design files for apparel, merchandise, fashion, or consumer products.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, materials, trims, printing, embroidery, and production processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe is required.
• Strong understanding of measurements, specifications, garment terminology, and manufacturing requirements.
• Ability to create clean, organized, easy-to-follow technical documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to catch small inconsistencies before they become production issues.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed, production-ready tech packs for apparel, accessories, packaging, and other merchandise.
• Translate creative concepts, sketches, and artwork into accurate technical specifications.
• Develop detailed flats, construction details, measurements, callouts, material specifications, color information, and artwork placement.
• Prepare files for factories and production vendors, ensuring all necessary information is clearly communicated.
• Create and maintain measurement/specification charts and grading information where applicable.
• Communicate with designers, producers, vendors, and manufacturers to resolve technical questions and production issues.
• Review samples and provide detailed technical feedback for revisions.
• Track revisions and ensure the latest approved files are being used throughout production.
• Check artwork, dimensions, placements, trims, materials, labels, embroidery, screen printing, and other embellishment details for accuracy.
• Help establish and maintain consistent technical standards and templates across Beyond Studios merchandise programs.
• Review vendor submissions and samples against approved designs and tech packs.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Beyond Studios is looking for a highly detail-oriented Tech Pack Designer to join the team and help bring custom merchandise concepts from creative design through production.

This role sits at the intersection of design, product development, and manufacturing. You’ll take creative merch concepts and turn them into clear, accurate production-ready technical files that factories and vendors can execute against.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of apparel and merchandise construction, excellent technical design skills, and an obsessive eye for detail. You should be comfortable working across multiple product categories, interpreting creative direction, and building tech packs that leave little room for interpretation.
