STHS McAllen is seeking a Monitor Technician to oversee cardiac telemetry readings from a centralized unit. You will work with a wireless network, maintaining proficiency and promptly reporting any abnormalities. The role requires flexibility to work every other weekend and on holidays, including overtime and on-call status.
AHA-compliant BLS certification and initial dysrhythmia training are required. High School diploma or GED is required, with six months to one year of prior experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Monitor Technician is responsible for monitoring patients’cardiac telemetry readings from a centralized location in the unit through a wireless network. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills. Routinely works every other weekend, holidays, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status in their assigned shift.
