Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) operates Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center in Northwest Las Vegas, a 336-bed facility offering comprehensive services and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. The telemetry monitoring role involves observing and recognizing continuous electrocardiographic telemetry, with required basic PC skills, medical terminology, and current BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; basic cardiac arrhythmia course or arrhythmia test required.
• Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.
• Current BLS Certification; arrhythmia course completion.
• Must demonstrate knowledge to provide service appropriate to the age of patients served.

Job Description

Responsible for the monitoring and recognition of continuous electrocardiographic telemetry.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or successful completion of an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department.

Technical Skills:

Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.

License/Certification:

Current BLS Certification. Certification of completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
