Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join the nursing team and help coordinate a patient-centered therapeutic plan. You will focus on patient care, observation, and contributing to treatment delivery in a 84-bed facility in Augusta, GA.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA or RBT encouraged, CPR/First Aid certification, and willingness to obtain Handle With Care certification. Prior work with adolescents is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old with high school diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistants and Registered Behavioral Technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver's license with clean record for at least three years.
• Experience working with children/adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance use disorders preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
• Must be able and willing to become certified in therapeutic restraint technique program (Handle With Care).
• Additional pay offered for lifeguard certification.

The Mental Health Technician opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Nursing Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric therapeutic strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective programming is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The Mental Health Technician is responsible for observation rounds of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
