• Pass Fit Test and meet all Employee Health Requirements.
• Preferred ASCP/AMT/NCA/HEW certification and BLS/CPR.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical laboratory procedures and reports results promptly and accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection and processing.
• Conduct proficiency testing, QA, QC and process improvement activities.
• Perform instrument maintenance and ensure safety and infection control compliance.
• Contribute to patient care planning and outcomes assessment.
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

JobSummary

Performs medical laboratory procedures and reports results in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures

Medical Technologist Job Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, specimen processing.
• Performs efficiently and accurately all aspects of lab testing from the pre-analytical phase through analytical and post analytical phases.
• Participate in proficiency testing, QA, QC and process improvement activities.
• Perform instrument maintenance.
• Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.
• Ensures delivery of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patientoutcomes.
• Revisesplanofpatientcare as needed.
• Providescompassiontothepatientandthepatient'sfamilymembers.
• Attend staff meetings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
