Job summary

Portage Point Partners is seeking a VP in Technology Investment Banking / M&A to lead transactions for middle-market tech clients across software and tech services. You will work with senior bankers to execute deals, model valuations, prepare client materials and drive business development while mentoring junior team members.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years at a top investment bank, strong tech sector knowledge and the ability to relocate to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, LA, NYC or Philadelphia

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program.
• Seven plus years of experience at associate or VP level in a top-tier investment bank are preferred.
• Genuine interest in tech sector including AI and emerging trends.
• Strong financial modeling skills and valuation knowledge (DCF, LBO, comps).
• Licensing (Series 79/63) preferred or obtainable within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables to consummate transactions for middle-market tech clients.
• Lead deal teams and support sell-side, buy-side and growth equity mandates.
• Prepare valuations, financial models and client presentations.
• Create client marketing materials and manage transaction procedures.
• Coach juniors and share best practices; participate in business development.
