Job summary

Selby Jennings, a boutique investment bank partnering with founder-led technology companies, seeks an Associate to lead deal execution and manage client relationships. You will oversee analysts to deliver high-quality work and drive M&A and capital raising initiatives from start to finish.

The ideal candidate brings banking experience and a passion for technology, with the ability to own end-to-end deal processes in software and enterprise transactions.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.5 or higher (4.0 preferred).
• Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Prior experience closing a sell-side M&A transaction (middle-market or software sector preferred).
• Strong understanding of deal processes and ability to run transactions start to finish.
• Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
• Ties to the West Coast are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of M&A and capital raise transactions from start to finish.
• Manage financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes.
• Coordinate with clients, investors, and internal teams to ensure seamless deal flow.
• Mentor and guide analysts on technical and process-related tasks.
