Ford Motor Company is seeking a technical leader to guide research on energy, fuels, and decarbonization across on-road propulsion. You will own cradle-to-grave LCAs and develop techno-economic models to support Ford's sustainability goals.

Leverage cross-functional teams across Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, and Operations to translate energy science into actionable strategy, monitor regulatory shifts, and represent Ford in external collaborations with government and academia.

Competenze

Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (equivalent experience accepted).
10+ years in automotive fuels, energy systems analysis, or industrial sustainability.
10+ years with conventional and renewable/alternative fuels and energy-supply infrastructure.
5+ years of working experience with LCA methodology and software.
5+ years engaging with industry/government agencies and national labs.

Mansioni

Lead research on conventional, renewable, and alternative fuels, including properties and implications for performance, emissions, and durability.
Lead cradle-to-grave LCAs for vehicles, fuels, and battery supply chains.
Develop models to evaluate economic viability of fuel pathways, energy infrastructure, and supply chains.
Represent Ford in technical consortia and partnerships.
Translate energy science and LCA findings into actionable technology strategy and decarbonization roadmap.
Monitor global fuel, emissions, and carbon accounting regulations and assess related risks.
