Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Tech Lead / Solution Architect in Princeton, NJ to provide technical leadership across enterprise applications, integrations, and platforms.

You will establish architecture standards, lead complex issues, and coordinate vendor discussions to translate business needs into technical requirements. Required experience includes 5+ years in software engineering or IT leadership, and proficiency in Java, C#, or Python, with knowledge of Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in need of a Tech Lead / Solution Architect. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership across enterprise applications, integrations, and supporting platforms
• Establish and promote consistent architecture, development standards, and technical best practices
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, integrations, workflows, and solution designs
• Design and coordinate integrations between internal applications and external data sources
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex production issues
• Develop proactive processes for identifying, reporting, and resolving system errors
• Ensure solutions follow applicable security, privacy, compliance, and risk requirements
• Partner with business, product, and technical teams to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories
• Provide technical direction during vendor discussions and solution reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or IT operations, including 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership capacity
• Experience with insurance technology and knowledge of P&C or Life/Health underwriting and policy lifecycles
• Proficiency with Java, C#, Python, or a comparable programming language
• Experience with enterprise application integrations and complex system environments
• Familiarity with underwriting platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar solutions
• Knowledge of AI technologies and emerging capabilities
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Comfortable leading technical reviews, collaborating with vendors, and constructively challenging proposed solutions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
