A leading quantitative investment firm is building a next-generation research platform designed to make quantitative research faster, more accurate and easier to scale.

This platform will enable researchers to run more experiments, backtest them faster and with greater accuracy, and get successful strategies into production sooner. The quality of the engineering platform directly impacts the firm's ability to find and monetise new trading opportunities.

They’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to help architect and build that platform.

What You’ll Do

• Build distributed systems that allow researchers to run significantly more experiments and backtests at scale
• Improve the speed, accuracy and reproducibility of research and simulation
• Build large-scale data and compute infrastructure supporting the research lifecycle
• Reduce the time between a promising research idea and a live trading strategy
• Solve challenging problems across distributed compute, data, performance and reliability
• Lead technical direction while remaining hands-on with design and implementation

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineer who has progressed into technical leadership
• Deep experience with distributed systems, compute or large-scale data infrastructure
• Strong Python, C++ or Rust.
• Comfortable owning architecture and solving problems without predefined solutions
• Someone who wants to remain hands-on rather than move into pure management

No quantitative finance experience required. Engineers from large-scale research, payments, ads, compute, marketplace, data or infrastructure teams in tech are particularly relevant.
