Acquire Me, a leading quantitative hedge fund in New York, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to design and build the core platforms powering its global research and trading environment.

You’ll tackle distributed systems, compute, networking, and developer infrastructure, building software that makes critical systems faster, more scalable, and more reliable, with significant impact on the business.

Qualifications

Job description

A leading quantitative hedge fund is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to design and build the core platforms powering its global research and trading environment.

You'll work on technically challenging problems across distributed systems, compute, networking, developer infrastructure, and large-scale automation. Rather than simply operating infrastructure, you'll build the software and platforms that make critical systems faster, more scalable, and more reliable.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong software engineering experience with one or more languages such as Python and/or C++.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and production infrastructure
• Experience designing and building large-scale infrastructure, platforms, or distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of systems design, networking, concurrency, or distributed computing
• Experience developing software and automation that improves scalability, performance, and reliability
• Ability to solve complex technical problems across multiple layers of the infrastructure stack

Nice to Have

• Background within a quantitative trading firm, leading technology company, or high-growth startup
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, or large-scale compute environments
• Experience building internal platforms, developer tooling, orchestration, or infrastructure automation
• Exposure to high-performance computing, storage, networking, or performance optimization
