Job summary

Samsung Ads is seeking a Tech Lead Director to head a team building an ad framework for our Live / VOD streaming product, TV Plus. You will design, architect, build, deploy and maintain high-volume distributed systems, blending team leadership with hands-on development.

You will mentor engineers, enforce code reviews, drive quality through unit tests, manage internal and external stakeholders, and set the technical vision and roadmap for the team across distributed locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Ad Tech would be preferable.
• Solid foundation in computer science and systems programming.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience with appropriate degree combinations.

Key Responsibilities

• You have previously led a technical team to deliver full-stack software systems with exceptional quality.
• As a technical lead, you will mentor other team members on engineering best practices, enforce code review guidelines, and support the team through the product lifecycle.
• Drive quality by reviewing code by peers and spreading your expertise to the team, emphasizing unit testing.
• Provide effective and regular performance feedback to the team members.
• Internal and External Stakeholder Management.
• We are working with geographically distributed teams.
• We are developing Improvement Proposals to improve the software design and architecture.
• This person will set up the technical vision/roadmap for the team.

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $240,000 and $260,000 Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
