Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead Manager - iOS/macOS to lead our iOS engineering team. As a Team Lead, you will oversee the full development lifecycle of complex iOS projects, provide technical guidance, and set best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap while mentoring and developing team members. Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
  • Oversee the full development lifecycle of complex iOS projects, from concept to release and maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers, ensuring efficient design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Set and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles.
  • Act as the primary engineering lead in initiatives and development.
  • Review team members' code and debug to ensure best practices.
  • Architect reusable software components and frameworks for scalability, high performance, and maintainability.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and frameworks aligned with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, designers, and backend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to team members.
  • Represent the iOS engineering perspective in strategic discussions and influence the product roadmap.
  • Lead and mentor other Swift engineers, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct code reviews, pair programming sessions, and team workshops to enhance technical proficiency.
Quality & Performance
  • Implement and promote high-quality testing practices, including unit, integration, and UI tests.
  • Monitor and optimize app performance, reliability, and security.
  • Identify and resolve technical debt to maintain sustainable development velocity.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in iOS or macOS development.
  • Strong understanding of multithreading and memory management in iOS.
  • Experience with Core ML and Metal for on-device machine learning.
  • Familiarity with Xcode, Instruments, and other iOS development tools.
  • Knowledge of iOS security best practices and privacy considerations.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols such as MQTT and WSS.
Qualities:
  • Strong leadership skills.
