Chime is seeking a technical leader for the Lending org to own the squad’s architecture and code quality while mentoring engineers and driving AI-enabled development practices.

You will partner with Product, Design, and Data leaders to scope quarterly work, hire 3–5 engineers, and influence technical decisions. The role emphasizes ownership, velocity, and delivering high-quality financial platforms.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in lending, payments, or regulated financial systems.
• Proven experience managing engineers (1:1s, coaching, performance review).
• Experience hiring and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction and architecture for the squad.
• Lead code reviews, design discussions, and planning with team support.
• Identify tech debt and promote sustainable engineering practices.
