Job summary

Gleanwork is seeking a Tech Lead Manager for its Agentic Runtime team in Mountain View, California. This role focuses on building a low-latency, reliable foundation for Glean's AI agents, optimizing cost and reliability while ensuring secure operations.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in software engineering and strong skills in Python, Go, Java, or C++. The position is hybrid, requiring presence in the office four days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building production distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
• 1+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Java, or C++, focusing on reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Own impactful runtime problems end-to-end from architecture to production.
• Build services for session lifecycle, streaming responses, and structured tool execution.
• Design for performance, correctness, and cost.
