Job summary

Roblox in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Tech Lead Manager to drive the Ads Experience team’s technical strategy and delivery. You will own system architecture for Roblox Ads Manager, Brand Ads, and Creator Monetization while growing a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities include aligning product vision with engineering, applying AI across monetization workflows, and ensuring scalable, reliable services with robust reporting and delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years in people management and a proven track record as a Technical Lead.
• Deep understanding of the Ad Tech stack: Campaign Management, Reporting, Creative, Ad Serving, Measurement, and Delivery.
• Strong background in distributed systems and high-availability backend services (Go, C#, or similar).
• Understanding of modern frontend architectures (React/TypeScript).
• Mentoring engineers and ability to manage performance and navigate organizational challenges.
• Ability to think like a product owner while maintaining technical rigor.

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Strategy: translate business goals into multi-year roadmaps for Ads Experience systems.
• Oversee System Architecture for Ads Manager, Brand Ads, and Creator Monetization with scalable, real-time capabilities.
• Innovate with AI across the ecosystem, including Gen AI for multi-modal creatives and assistants.
• Lead & Manage: hire, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team; foster inclusive culture.
• Execute & Deliver: own the full software development lifecycle and ensure timely, high-quality features.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: align product vision with Product, Design, and Data Science.
