Job summary

Smeal SFA, a Terex Corporation brand, is seeking a Tech Lead for the Snyder, TX area. The role provides technical leadership in a manufacturing environment, supports lean and continuous improvement, and collaborates with Engineering to drive changes.

Responsibilities include coaching, quality enforcement, standard work development, and cross-training. Strong reading comprehension of blueprints and BOMs, and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with blueprints, routings, and BOM.
• Ability to read and interpret truck specs and documents.
• 2+ years in the assigned area with lean methods.
• Experience in Kaizen events and continuous improvement.
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
• Strong math and measurement skills; tape measure use.
• Ability to read and communicate in English; safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Model a positive attitude and can-do mindset.
• Ensure quality system and policy compliance.
• Interface with Engineering on technical issues.
• Develop standard work for assigned areas.
• Cross-train employees and build backups.
• Serve as back-up Team Lead when needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and perform own checks.
• Initiate process improvements when possible.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
