Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates or technical degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the area.
  • Ability to read blueprints, routings, and BOM.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and drive lean manufacturing improvements.
  • Ensure team compliance with quality systems and policies.
  • Interface with Engineering on technical issues and recommend changes.
  • Develop standard work for assigned areas.
  • Cross-train employees and develop backups.
  • Serve as back-up Team Lead as required.
  • Meet production goals and maintain a safe work area.
  • Initiate process improvements when possible.
  • Work with customers as needed.
  • Operate equipment or tools required for the job.
  • Collaborate with other teams as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Tech Leads provide technical leadership and direction in assigned manufacturing. This role actively participates and supports a work environment that is focused on lean and continuous improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of product, processes, operations, theory, and practive in assigned area
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read blue prints, routings, and BOM
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Ability to identify root cause, implement corrective action, where gaps to the goal exist
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • 2+ years experience in assigned area
  • Participated in at least 2 Kaizen events
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines
  • Ability to retain and apply instructions
