Job summary

LoanTube is seeking an Engineering Tech Lead (Python or Java) to own our backend architecture for a high-volume fintech platform used by thousands of customers monthly. You will lead a distributed team, design scalable systems, and integrate with external services while driving security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering in high-volume data environments.
• Prefer fintech experience, especially credit.
• Proficient in Python or Java, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong SDLC, CI/CD, and production debugging practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend systems and APIs using Java, Python.
• Design secure, highly available AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead distributed engineering team through code reviews and hiring input.
• Collaborate with frontend and stakeholders to align technical goals.
