FINRA is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive AI agent development across the SDLC, building production-grade agents, frameworks, and tooling. You will mentor engineers, design scalable architectures, and advance observability while shaping the next generation of AI-first automation at FINRA.

You will lead cross-functional work to implement governance, testing, and scalable infrastructure, with a strong focus on DevOps, cloud technologies, and secure, reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 7 years of related experience.
• Strong system design experience
• Strong experience in object-oriented development
• Strong experience with cloud technologies
• Strong experience in data storage technologies
• Strong experience in performance tuning and optimization
• Strong experience in DevOps and CI/CD technologies
• Strong experience test automation and unit testing
• Strong experience software security

Responsabilités

• Develop production-grade AI agents that automate SDLC handoffs.
• Create integrations and CLI tools for deep understanding of internal systems and codebases.
• Design testing strategies for agent reliability and output quality.
• Embed organizational standards into new projects with Golden Path scaffolding.
• Improve codebase navigation, documentation, and developer workflows with AI.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and deliver measurable impact through automation.
• Shape SDLC evolution by identifying AI-first opportunities and proving outcomes.
• Architect and maintain production infrastructure for agent deployment, lifecycle management, and scaling.
• Develop agent frameworks, templates, and SDKs to accelerate development.
• Create Model Context Protocol (MCP) catalog enabling compliant communication.
• Implement governance controls for agent behavior and access.
• Design metrics, monitoring, and logging for agents and workflows.
• Build dashboards for developer productivity and agent performance.
• Establish KPIs to quantify automation impact.
• Create alerting and anomaly detection for reliability.
• Analyze telemetry to identify optimization opportunities.
• Partner across teams to drive adoption of AI-powered tooling.
• Stay current with LLM technologies and coach on AI-assisted development.
• Rapidly prototype solutions to validate use cases and show value.
• Communicate data-driven insights with clear visualizations.
