Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to own production reliability for state-of-the-artRecommendation and Search systems. You will help build observable, fault-tolerant services across global data centers.

Role requires 5+ years in SRE, strong Linux/networking skills, and proficiency in Python/Go/Perl/C/C++. This on-site role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and deep system design for reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in SRE for large-scale, highly reliable deployments.
• Familiar with Linux system operation and networking.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Python, Perl, Go, or C/C++).
• Experience designing, analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Familiar with CI/CD processes and environments.
• Strong communication and ownership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Engage in end-to-end lifecycle of Recommendation and Search systems from design through launch, deployment and refinement.
• Deliver tools to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of services.
• Build availability of large-scale services deployed across global data centers.
• Plan and optimize cloud resource utilization ensuring SLA for large clusters.
• Measure availability, latency and health of services.
• Practice sustainable incident response and postmortems.
