Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation is seeking a Server Repair Technician to test, diagnose, and replace faulty parts in servers sent for repair. You will perform server stress tests, document symptoms and results, and collaborate with motherboard repair, QC, and inspections teams.

Essential duties include maintaining accurate records, managing parts consumption, and supporting other departments such as warehouse and shipping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent technical experience.
• Certifications in server support and architecture desired.
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing servers.
• Experience with replacing parts on servers.
• Good written and verbal skills – needs to document errors and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers and replace faulty parts.
• Conduct server stress tests and analyze results.
• Document symptoms, test results, and parts replaced.
• Collaborate with motherboard repair, testing, QC and inspections teams.
• Provide back up for QC, inspection and motherboard testing; maintain parts consumption.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership; support warehouse, shipping and receiving teams.
