Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation in Grapevine, TX seeks a Computer Technician to diagnose and repair computers, disassemble/re-assemble components, set up systems, and install software. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse-like environment, meet KPI targets, and collaborate with a team to ensure timely fixes.

Basic office skills and 1–2 years of repair experience required; A+ certification in progress and tech-school attendance desired.

Qualifications

• Working towards completing A+ certification.
• Still attending tech school.
• Solid 1-2 years of repair experience in computer repair.
• Experience in low production PC environments.
• Familiar with 1-2 major OEMs.
• Knowledge of simple component replacements such as LCD/HDD.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated skills while working with Temp Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide computer diagnostics and repairs.
• Take apart and re-assemble computer components and parts.
• Resolve hardware issues within time schedule with break/fix solutions.
• Set up computer systems and hardware; install or re-install software.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SummaryThe Computer Technician will be responsible for providing computer diagnostics and repairs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement.
